Special Call Of The Day: Demand The House Open An Impeachment Inquiry

Director Mueller spent 6 hours testifying to Congress yesterday.

  • Mueller DID NOT EXONERATE Trump.

  • Mueller said he found repeated statements by Trump during the campaign praising WikiLeaks to be “problematic is an understatement in terms of what it displays of giving some hope or some boost to what is and should be illegal behavior,”

  • Mueller said he believes campaign officials given offers of assistance by foreign powers should report those approaches to the FBI.

  • Rep Val Demmings asked, “Director Mueller, isn’t it fair to say the president’s written answers were not only inadequate and incomplete, because he didn’t answer many of your questions, but where he did, his answers showed that he wasn’t always being truthful?”  Mueller paused and then began an answer, “There…” he said. Then he said, “I would say, generally.”

  • The Bottom line — Representative Schiff: "Trump and his campaign welcomed and encouraged Russian interference?" Mueller: "Yes." Schiff: "And then Trump and his campaign lied about it to cover it up?" Mueller: "Yes."

Tell your representative you want the House to open an impeachment inquiry to hold Trump accountable for “welcoming and encouraging” Russian interference in the 2016 election and for the 10 instances of obstruction of justice outlined in the report.

You can also say you want the House to cancel its August recess and hold oversight hearings on Trump’s corruption and obstruction. This is especially important if Richmond is your representative. You can also call Speaker Pelosi with this request.

One call to make:  Representative Richmond or Representative Scalise

Because of how Congressional districts are drawn, New Orleans residents have either Richmond or Scalise as their representative.  If you don't know who your representative is, you can look it up by entering your home address on the U.S. House of Representatives website.
