End Unfair Gerrymandering

  • Loyola & Podras New Orleans, LA United States (map)

This upcoming 2019 election will have greater impact than is on most Louisianians' radar - it will decide what Louisiana will look like for the next 11 years. THE GOAL? To grow this rally as an opportunity to gain attention and awareness about the importance of our 2019 elections.

It will continue every Wednesday from Noon to 1 PM at 500 Poydras (in front of the Fed Courthouse/Senator John Neely Kennedy's New Orleans office). PLEASE STAY ON THE SIDEWALK

Have you looked at our Federal Congressional Districts? They are embarrassingly drawn to specifically control the black vote and limit the Democratic vote in our State. Whoever is elected in our upcoming 2019 State races will redraw those lines after the 2020 census. It's imperative we elect only those who will commit to drawing districts which truly represent our state. Louisiana has beautiful diversity and the 36% non-white, non-GOP vote has been drawn into oblivion.

Currently Louisiana falls at or near the bottom of every quality of life index. However, since the election of our current Governor, John Bel Edwards, we've seen upward progression. Let's continue this trend by getting the word out about the importance of the 2019 elections.

Join us! Again, the bigger the crowd, the more attention we'll receive. The more attention we receive, the more awareness we create!
